The Coyotes introduced Ben Sachs as their offensive coordinator. I don't know anything about his qualifications, but I do have two questions. In his biography, it lists where he played high school football but not college. Why? Also, it said he played for the Minnesota Vikings and was hurt midway through a season. Why can I find no record for him as a Viking? freeteams.net/michigancoyotes/news.html?story=32392I'm the first to admit there may be logical reason for both of these, but I don't know what they are right now.

Well for all we know he DID play for the Vikings at one time or another. As in maybe he was an undrafted rookie invited to training camp and he got hurt there and then cut. So technically he PLAYED for the Vikings, right? Perhaps it was only 2 weeks of summer camp, got hurt, then resigned midway through the season to the practice squad for a week and got hurt again. (I don't really know any of this, just creative conjecture0. But, hey, the SFL seems to be developing a reputation for overstating some of their coaches and players' bios so it could be possible that what they said is 100% true. Sort of.......

He did not play for the Minnesota Vikings. It says Michigan Vikings. All Bios for the Coyotes are not overstating or putting untrue information for Coaches.

Hey welcome to the boards GM! No, that comment was not an indictment specifically about the Coyotes, it was meant for the ever vague, ever elusive SFL High Command as a whole. Since we started this forum last year we've come to notice that the players and coaches on here from the individual teams are alot more helpful and insightful than the folks at league HQ. We have a number of players and a couple coaches that posted on here last year who were much more fan freindly than the league officials have been. Unfortunately the league itself seems to be reluctant to interact with anybody, be it on the official site, Facebook, or on here. We call it like we see it here, and are generous with both praise and criticism of the league as things unfold. But always respectful and honest.

yeah and anyhow, any rookie who goes to rookie camp for the 2 or 3 days is considered an nfl player at some point!

Well... I'm Ben Sachs. I am the O coordinator for the Michigan Coyotes for the 2012 season. I've played and coach for the Michigan Vikings in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I have a lot of knowledge and great new ideas that i will bring to this team. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask them, I will try to answer them the best i can and as fast as i can. Thanks alot and I'm looking forward to the season and to the be the SFL North champs.

So far it seems the Coyotes are way ahead of the curve compared to most of the others teams in the league.

Good to have you with us coach! Since you talked about winning the SFL North, maybe we should have ask if you've heard anything about your rivals in the division We've heard nothing at all. Any word, news, rumors?

Coach B.... I plan on running everything from power I to spread with 4 or 5 wrs. There a lot of formations with motions as well. The run game can be man on man, traps , counters , option to zone runs... A little bit of everything. I dont really have any news or rumors about the other teams in the north yet. Mini camp this weekend should be a great starting point for our team and ready to get the season moving! Expect a lot of points this year!

I'm a new rookie to this league so first off hello everybody. My question is how were the games and attendance last season? Did the communities come and support the teams? Thanks.

lidrea11,
Wecome to the boards! Last year attendance was fairly low, partly as there were questions each week as to who was playing and when and where. Can't really answer as to the quality of the games as we didn't get to see very much, just a few youtube highlights.
