They are going to build retail developments with stadiums in five markets. Really???!!!! And they are going to pay for all this how? This may make the UFL Casa Grande plan look like a good idea!

This New USFL is turning out to be rather entertaining to watch. It's as if the're trying way too hard to avoid any potential problems that they keep setting themselves further and further back before they make any tangible progress. I have a feeling that this league will end up being the league that never launches but never really dies, either.

www.timesrecordnews.com/news/2013/apr/13/hawks-looking-to-join-new-league/It looks like the Wichita Falls Nighthawks are losing interest in joining the United States Football League. But there is another league beginning to show interest in the Nighthawks. “They came after us. We didn’t go after them,” general manager Jerry Hughes said of recent talks with the Gridiron Developmental Football League. Hughes said the Nighthawks could play in two leagues this year.

"Hughes said he lost some interest in that league during a telephone conversation with Fred Biletnikoff, a Pro Football Hall of Famer who now serves on the USFL board of advisers. “He said the league wanted to own the teams, and I told him I thought that was stupid,” Hughes said. “The people here understand the town and the team. It would kill all our creativity because you would have the same people building every team.”

So how did the USFL ever get in contact with this team? It almost looks like the USFL is seeking out successful minor league teams, then hoping to recruit them. This bunch would fit the bill. 11,000 attendance at their opener. The Loco's never got that!

Very weird, I wonder why they plan on doing that. 11K wow, Texas must be doing something right with semi-pro. In Ohio you are lucky to get 200 a game. In New England, our semi-pro home games and away games were lucky to reach 50 people

and what is this Nighthawks team anyway? I see a ton of players who only played in high school and then I see Omar Jacobs who played the last 3 years in the AFL.
Do these guys get paid? How the heck did they get Omar Jacobs to play semi-pro ball? Unless he lives in the area
