Is there ANY chance the SFL will reconsider including the Michigan Coyotes into the 2012 season? I understand the transportation costs associated with having one team so far away from the others but not having Michigan truly makes the SFL stand for the "South Florida League." Having a team in their home state, ok, having even one team outside of Florida gives them more national credibility. i really hope they reconsider.....

Wow, the league didn't even tell you guys before they announce something like this? That's really crappy.

I hope not. We have a good group of coaches and players that have been pushing each other very hard on top of the discipline for lack of effort after practice. I really hope something was missed here.

First and foremost I am truly sorry and apologize to all my Coaches, Staff, Players and everyone that has been supporting us. Our season has been cancelled due to travel expenses supposedly. The League decided and and never called or informed us until after they had posted it on the league website and even then I had to call to find out. We were told last week that our season was still happening and that the Canton team was ago. T They have had a year to get this going and nothing has changed from last season. The Coyotes have accomplished more this season than any other team in the league and we were booted to the curb. I wish I could do something to change it , but i can not. I apologize again to everyone especially you guys on this message board for the support. I will stay in contact and I am truly sorry.

It sounds like the league did you wrong and that's the amazing part given how hard your whole organization worked getting ready for this season. You have my admiration and appreciation for all that you did to get a fanbase going. The league would be crazy to let you and your organization get away from them. Part of me still hope for a turnaround in Huthwaite's thought process and they change their mind at the last minute. Which, with the SFL, happens frequently. With all the players they tried out they couldn't scrape something together for a Canton and/or Cleveland team? Seems hard to believe. Yes, please stay active here, you've been a real asset for helping us understand the ins and outs of running a pro football team. And the best of luck with moving forward in your career.

Dan, I'll second that. You have nothing to apologize for. You ran a classy organization, it sounded like you had a good team, you responded to fans, even those of us who were never likely to see your games in person. You and your team do not deserve what the SFL did to you, and I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do. Keep us posted!

There are like 50 semi pro teams in Ohio....they couldn't have gotten one of them to play as the Canton and Cleveland Teams?
