I'm absolutely shocked (/sarcasm).

I'm especially amused at the "expansion meetings" bye week in the middle of the season. What, is it going to be Pete in the middle of a room talking to himself?

"And we will be putting teams in London, Tokyo and Nairobi. If they don't take, we'll move them to Key West, Gainesville and Ocala." Championship game to be played in one of the coaches front yards, with 4 points for a field goal that bounces off a pickup truck."

You guys crack me up! yes, I can picture Petey in a room talking to himself about expansion. It's almost as though he doesn't realize there really are a handful of fans out there TRYING very hard to give his little league the benefit of the doubt and actually follow the SFL. It's as though he's in his own little world but doesn't realize he's in a fishbowl and others ARE watching what he's doing. Anyway, we've watched this league shrink from 8 to 5 to 4 to now 3 teams in the space of a month or so. Normally a horrible sign for an alternative football league but for some reason I think he still might pull this league off in the future. "Go big or go home" is definately NOT in his vocabulary, but........he is treating the SFL like a little houseplant, trimming the dead leaves and constantly rearranging the potting soil while trying to give it just enough water to survive. Granted he's pissing alot of people off in the process but maybe, just maybe, he's being a shrewd businessman and making the unpopular decisions he needs to make to keep his little league afloat and alive to do battle another day. Here I go giving him the benefit of the doubt once again, but talk is cheap (ie the EFL, the NUSFL, the new AFL, etc) but seeing is believing. And like the guy or not (I don't think I would like him personally) he has put players on the field in REAL games. So I guess I'll continue to maintain my love/hate relationship with the SFL and Petey.......
