At this point in their existance, having livestreaming online would be a huge step forward for the SFL. It would be "putting a name to a face," so to speak. And so far most of the games actually sound interesting .....

They don't really seem to have a good understanding of the new media yet. They need their own version of Nation.

This is assuming they can actually afford to pay anyone to do those type of things.

You mean we'll actually be able to watch it?

Finally! If this works out we'll actually be able to see what we've been talking about.
I'm assuming you mean broadcast as in video? Not just audio?

No, but it looks like the comment you and I were responding to about it has mysteriously disappeared.

Yeah I noticed that. Maybe it was premature. But at least the idea is out there. Maybe it's just not a done deal yet. Lets hope.

isnt there ways to live stream games for free? For individuals, yes. But remember, the SFL is a corporate enterprise. Most of the companies willing to stream live video for free (e.g. uStream, livestream.com, justin.tv, etc.) charge a hefty fee for business usage. You could go the direct route and stream direct from the computer at the stadium, but you'd have serious bandwidth issues if you tried to go that route. At this point, I'd think recording and highlight reels on something like YouTube would be the best way to go.

Well at this point something would be better than nothing. Watching a game stream live of course would be the best but even having Youtube hight light reels would be a step in the right direction.
