Well, it's nice to see that the Bizarro world that is the SFL continues into 2013. According to the league website, the SFL has released Marty Butler Culpepper as coach of of the Ft Lauderdale Barracudas due to "actions detrimental to the Stars Football League." starsfootballleague.com/news/fort-lauderdale-barracudas-release-culpepper/This made me curious. What could he possibly have done that is more detrimental to the league than what it has already done to itself over the years? In doing a little research, I think I found the answer. He quit the SFL and became head coach of a team in Miami in a rival league! www.miaxtreme.com/2012/12/20/miami-xtreme-hires-marty-butler-culpepper/Incidentally, I think this PDFL are using the same plan Pete had in mind for the SFL last year. Play teams in your regional group, then play the championship game between the winners of the groups. It's just that the PDFL had more people buy into it than Pete did. Will it work? I have no idea. www.thepdfl.com/

That's nice... but, um... didn't they already replace him last year? Last I saw last year Mark Ewal was coach. Marty was around back in 2011, but I'm pretty sure he'd already left by now.

You are correct, I even put up the note (should keep better track!). Why the league thought they had to get rid of him now I have no idea.

Do we have any idea if anyone besides Pete has bought into the SFL yet? Not that I've seen. This "limited league shares" seems to be the same thing they did last year. No real way to know if anybody bought one.
