The SFL head office announced that they have decided to go in a different direction as far the Swampdogs head coaching position is concerned. They have named Bobby Thompson, and Coach Marty Culpepper interim coaches, and they will be leading team against the Miami Ironmen in this weeks game Saturday June 15 at 7:15 PM at Broward County Park. starsfootballleague.com/news/swampdogs-interim-coaches/

This league is priceless. In January, they fire Marty Culpepper for "actions detrimental to the Stars Football League." Now he is made co-coach of a team in the second week of a three week season.
Did the Swampdogs have a coach last game? If they do now, and lose this week, Thompson and Culpepper will look kind of silly.

First off, Thompson (according to my records) is still coaching the Barracudas... so how is he supposed to coach two teams at once, unless I missed something?
Second, my records show Josh "Boss" Wilson as the Swampdogs coach for Game One. Perhaps he quit over those ludicrous rule changes.

You keep records on this league? We've got to work on your hobbies young man! (Says the man who's posted 425 times on this board. Oops!)

So how does the whole "Co-Head Coaches" thing work? Do they do a joint press conference at the same time where they say the same thing at the same time?
This league amazes me in shock at some of the stuff that they do. Next thing you know, the league will have a press release to announce that the teams will hire the following coaches (this is just a hypothetical):
- Co-Head Coaches - Passing Game Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach - Running Game Coordinator/Running Backs Coach - Receiving Game Coordinator/Inside WR Coach - Outside Wide Receivers Coach/Tight Ends Coach - Blocking Game Coordinator/O Line Coach - Offensive Backs Coach - Fullbacks Coach - Offensive Nickel Packages (whatever the heck that means) - Kicking Game Coach/Special Teams - Tackle Game Coach - Defensive Ends Coach - Inside Tackles Coach - Outside Linebackers Coach - Inside Linebackers Coach - Cornerbacks Coach - Free Safeties Coach - Strong Safeties Coach - Health Coach

On a somewhat related note... it appears the Swampdogs' game against Miami was scrapped, because ESPN instead aired Daytona against Miami, a matchup that wasn't supposed to take place until the 27th.
That means one of two things: the Swampdogs played the Barracudas, or they abruptly decided not to play this week. We will see what Hulthwaite says come Monday.
Score: Daytona 6 Miami 42

However, if they only played one game this week, it could be a sign of a bigger problem.

Well, the PR is in. It only mentions one game (Daytona-Miami)... but it does make note that Fort Lauderdale and the Swampdogs are now tied in the standings.
So basically, reading between the lines, the Swampdogs forfeited. EDIT: Never mind, I read the Swampdogs' individual page on the SFL site (which, for a first, is actually being updated) and it says they lost 22-14 to the Barracudas. So the game was played after all.
