I have no certainty of this but 2012 expansion looks to be including Charleston, Las Vegas, Little Rock, and Mobile.
IMO the league should include Hartford (obviously), Omaha, Sacramento, and Norfolk should the UFL fold. All the cities have strong fan bases and would love to continue watching pro football
Thoughts?

Boy I sure hope the UFL can stay the course and ultimately succeed on its own but if worse came to worse it would be great to preserve their franchises in the SFL or somewhere. It would be a crying shame to see them disappear forever.

The only available spots are Caniglia field - 9500 capacity Werner Park - 9023 capacity (if you can play football there at all)

Yeah, i knew that was the weak link in the plan with the college World series there in the spring and all. But something tells me the Nighthawks would and could work something out there if it meant their survival.

Im still saying that another team needs to be in PA, it will do well! also, what is key for this league is a new website with actual news and REAL players. even the national football gridiron league or whatever its called has keon lattimore and a guy who went to the UFL. im kinda excited to see what happens to the new USFL. but put a team in PA SFL since my UFL wont

DNEWMS43 No real rumors about expansion. The league already announced a team in Charleston, Mobile, Las Vegas, and Little Rock but they won't be playing this season so I'm assuming they will act as expansion teams next year.

OK, so here's a thought. According to the official SFL website the league is asking 1.5 million to start a new franchise. It also says next year the asking price will be 15 million. Putting aside for the moment the rather bizarre jump in price, even 15 million is 1/2 what the UFL was asking for per franchise. So....................if thats the case, and the UFL, despite doing all it can to cut costs ends up folding..........would it not be logical if one or more of the UFL owners considered salvaging their franchises in a new league that cost a whole lot less? If a UFL owner is willing to lose millions year after year only to see the whole thing fail would it not make sense to salvage an operation thats already established and take a chance on a new league like the SFL? Would they not want even the slimmest chance of succeeding in the SFL over total failure? Thoughts?

Does the SFL have a plan or do they just throw darts at a board?

Thats a good question. None of us really know yet. But if the UFL owners were willing to lose the money they planned on for the upcoming season why not be willing to cut your losses considerably and still salvage something from their investment by moving to the SFL? I want the UFL to succeed badly, but if worse came to worse I'd like to see the UFL owners take a chance and keep at least some of the UFL franchises alive in the SFL. It would be good for them and really good for the SFL.

I think the problem with that is that with the big drop off in price there's also a big drop off in legitimacy and talent. As bad as a job the UFL did with marketing their teams the SFL has done even worse and it doesn't have the ex-NFL and college heroes that the UFL had.
The jump in price next year is probably due to the leagues projected increased expenses for fielding 4 more teams. It could also be that the SFL is planning to drastically improve the league due to the highly possible folding of the UFL. It should be very interesting to see how this league looks next season.

All true points. But if the UFL folds suddenly a whole lot of talent, willing to play for little money, will be available. And from what I've read the SFL doesn't really have the money to field the additional teams it puts up as being ready for expansion. So.....this is where the UFL owners, at least a couple of them, could step in with ready made franchises and fill the void. At least this would be my hope if the UFL folded. It would perhaps be a win-win for both parties.
