I think the second one was a Daytona fan site.

The Daytona Racers are still in the SFL. However, the Racers facebook page is the EFL team. Whoever runs the facebook is involved with the new team. I have no clue why he doesnt change the name

OK so I had a lengthy thread going on the Racers facebook page with the coach (?) of the Racers. It seems as though the Daytona Racers Facebook page is pretty much HIS page and he's using it to lure players to the EFL. I'm still not sure I even got an answer to Gatek99's question about whether the team is still in the SFL. Sounds like behind the scenes strife going on I don't want to get involved in. I asked him why not just change the name of the page to 'Team Florida" and he implied he was going to in the future. Sounds like they have some serious identity issues going on right now. Personally I think the Racers are still in the SFL but this coach has personal domain over that Facebook page. Nothing is simple with the SFL it seems.

well about the facebook pages stating they do not have a field yet. How and why did the league release a schedule if they do not even have places to play. The odds of the schedule working out are slim to none

They must of released the schedule to either attract investors or to instill public confidence cuz you're right, it aint gonna happen. Like I've said before elsewhere on other threads, if they haven't played a down yet then they don't really mean much to me. The UFL and SFL have actually played games. Some were pretty and some were not. But both have a history, a tradition, that the other "paper" leagues don't have yet. I just can't commit to being a fan until a league has actually fielded teams......

Yeah I know, I was smirking a little when I wrote that. But, even so, it's a huge achievement in this day and age to get to the point where you can actually produce real games with real players and real scores. I think we're all seeing in the age of the internet that talk (and websites) are cheap. As strange and quirky as it was, the Stars Football League actually HAD a 2011 football season. Nobody can ever take that away from them, it's now "in the books." OK it might be in a book way on the back shelf but it actually did happen, lol
