And good for the league too. Taylor makes the 2nd SFL player we know of who has made it to the NFL. Not bad for a tiny league that only played 6 games last year. AND he's the 2nd Barracuda to make it to the NFL as well......

I wonder how many other guys like him have signed with the NFL in other small leagues

I've realized something after following this story about Nick. Sports news outlets and reporters do zero research when it comes to a story like this. Out of all the articles I found about Nick only one says he played for the SFL, and that's the one from the college he went to. All the rest just quote each other about him playing arena football last season. I know he is not a "hot" news item, but come on, at leat try and use the internet to find out the truth about the league he played for. I hope when Nick gets interviewed he mentions where he played and gives them props.

maybe they could find no record of him playing in the SFL, or they do not know the SFL exists. Or better yet they think it is a semi-pro league and in that case why would you mention it?

To me that's all the more reason to tout the fact that 2 of its players have reached the big time. Since more than a few people elsewhere have dismissed the SFL as "Semi-pro" it's good to get it out there that some of these players have the skills to make it at the NFL level. Is the SFL on par with the CFL or UFL? Of course not. But is it on par with Arena ball? I think it could be getting close. Is it better than Semi-pro? Definately. If the UFL is truly done this year I'd like to see the SFL rank somewhere between the CFL and the Arena League in terms of quality and the publics perception of it. Perhaps a few former UFL players sprinkled in on each of the teams as well. Just keep watering this little tree of a league and see how it grows.....

This statement is spot on. So, are the UFL players the "Fertilizer"? ;D

I don't see UFL players playing in this league if they were sketchy about the UFL while getting paid 30k

I don't see UFL players playing in this league if they were sketchy about the UFL while getting paid 30k As far as we know, at least Hulthwaite paid his players the promised $100 to $500 a game on time. Even if it was only for a couple of games.

I don't see UFL players playing in this league if they were sketchy about the UFL while getting paid 30k Yes they will need to get more established this season before we see this happening. That's why I'm hoping this is the year they put themselves on the map and start showing some staying power. If they could field 8 teams with 2 divisions, hold costs down, and pay their bills they may just have a shot at succeeding....

I don't think we will ever see out of state players or college draft prospects in this league now
