OK, no one is quite sure at this point what's going on with the UFL. Many of us on here are diehard UFL fans who have grown increasingly frustrated with them and are simply looking for SOMEONE out there that can put together an interesting, competitive, fan friendly alternative outdoor American football league. Is that really too much to ask? So some of us have pinned our hopes on the upstart Stars Football League. Which has one thing going for it in that it's actually played a season (albeit shortened) earlier this year. What does the future hold for it? We don't know. But unlike the UFL it looks to be back in March, 2012, with more teams and a lower cost business model, which hopefully will help it succeed where other leagues haven't. So if oyu're a jaded UFL fan looking for another place to talk alternative outdoor football then you're in the right place. Come join and start posting!

I havent given up on the UFL, but have always been a longtime fan of Alternative football leagues, as I feel they serve the fan better, and I am honestly very sick of the greedy NFL. I am intrigued by the SFL, and decided to join to see what everyone is talking about. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, and hope maybe I can attend an SFL game at some point!

I think most of us here haven't quite given up on the UFL either, but it hasn't stopped us from looking at other leagues. Welcome aboard!

Bumping for posterity, given the apparent collapse of Omaha.

Yes, now more than ever it's a good reminder that there is a refuge out there for all of us forlorn UFL fans. An empty storefront in Omaha where the premiere franchise used to call home is probably the most telling sign of all. Let's hope the news picks up for the SFL so we finally have more to talk about on here. I need my thirst for alternative outdoor football quenched!

Hey guys, another disenchanted UFL fan. Moving to Ft. Lauderdale, literally walking distance from Lockhart. So if they play this season, I can keep you updated.

Yes, it would be great to have some insight on what the actual gameday experience is for an SFL team in its 2nd year of play. Maybe, just maybe, the community will start to embrace them and show up. That would be cool.

Well howdy to all UFL refugees. I'm Kevin from Phoenix, AZ I'm glad to be here. I've kept an eye on the SFL (as much as is possible) since I first found out about it. I certainly hope the SFL can avoid the mistakes and failures of the UFL and succeed. This country really needs an alternative to the NFL. I hope this League can be that successful, profitable alternative to the No Fun League.
