Yeah, exactly. And New Orleans is 1-0. Daytona, at 3-1, was supposed to play the Jazz this week. Which would of been the 1st and 2nd place teams going head to head for the first time. But Daytona got bumped for the Coyotes. So now the "Championship" game will be the team with the best record (1-0) versus the team with the worst record (0-1). And only the 2nd game ever for both franchises. I think for whatever reason (ok most likely financial) the season was cut from 10 to 6 games. And they wanted each franchise to have more than 1 game under their belts. But calling this the "Championship" game is where it goes off the tracks. So if you cant afford any more games this year then play this one out and then crown the team with the best record "Champions." Which would be New Orleans if they won (2-0), or Daytona (3-1). But to have the possibility of a league champion with a record of 1-1 (if Michigan won) would be ridiculous.

Who exactly is calling it the "Championship" game, the league or New Orleans? Maybe the Jazz fans feel that, because they would be the only unbeaten team, they would deserve to be "Champions". You're right though, it all breaks down if Michigan wins.

The league mentions the game (now on their front page), but doesn't say anything about it being a championship game.

I feel like it would be a waste to go to all those practices for a couple months, only play 2 games, and make $140
