I put this on UFLAccess, but with all the nonsense of the UFL right now, I don't think people are interested over there, so I'll bring it here. and enhance it a bit. Which spring league do you think will be successful? Stars Football League. The SFL did play last year, but announced teams that never played, changed the schedule seemingly at random, played an uneven season and then just stopped, with no Champion. Still, they are the only ones who have put players on the field. starsfootballleague.com/Exclusive Football League A new group, they are a nationwide league, with the states already designated (No cities though) They also even have a schedule out, even though they don't seem to have venues. The teams do not seem to have names (i.e. AAFL). exclusivefootballleague.com/Home.htmlA1 Football League A regional league, located in the South. They list themselves as a "Class A" league" so the talent level may be low. There are currently five teams listed, including that booming metropolis of Phenix City, Alabama. They may have planned to start last year and not succeeded. www.a1profootball.net/New USFL You got to be kidding! newusfl.com/

I am going to go with none of them surviving more than 2 years. Also If I have to pick one, I am going to say whatever league that has the lowest costs (player salaries and travel)
I just don't see where you get money from if there is no marketing for fans and sponsors

Good question. I think you should have just the links to the web sites and no commentary on the leagues. That way we can look up the info and make a decision based on what we find. Don't get me wrong I like what you've said, but I would rather just have the links. And so I picked the SFL. Based on what I've seen they seem to be the best but, that's what they said about the UFL

How are you defining success?

A1 football league may have best chance if there business model holds, but it is more of a semi pro than a pro league

If you can add that one, you are certainly welcome to do it.

Like I said, this was more designed as a quick and dirty introduction, for people who didn't want to spend too much time searching out things on the website. Some of them are rather convoluted!

I'm going to go with the SFL for the simple reason that they have actually played games. They now have a "history." albeit a short and rocky one. There's been too many leagues over the years that never made it off paper, never played a down. Do I think the SFL had a bumpy, uneven start? Absolutely. But can they build off of it? Absolutely. At this point the other leagues are no more "leagues" than Micheal Dwyer's little fantasy he writes about from his Mom's basement on his laptop. Whether you think the play of the SFL was up to par with professional football or not, at least you can see them on Youtube hitting, passing, tackling. The other leagues? Mean nothing to me until they've played a down.

Well this begs the question of just how long does a start up league need to put expansion teams in place for it's next season? 5 or 6 months? Cuz that's what we're getting down to now. The SFL's 2nd season is scheduled to begin in April, so this would be about the time to get things solidified for the new teams if they're gonna happen. I'm heartened that they're having tryouts now, it definately implies a 2nd season is coming.

Sounds like the EFL is slowly crumbling just since this poll came out. Guess it's down to the SFL and the A 1 league now......

Which is the bigger fantasy league, the EFL or the new USFL? Both seem to be nothing more than Facebook Football League's. Michael Dwyer has gone nowhere with his fantasy league while Kim Mosby is taking a lot of peoples money. In the end maybe we can have a Facebook SuperFantasy Bowl where Dwyer plays one on one versus Mosby.

Breaking News: The first annual BS Bowl between the EFL and new USFL will be held at a location TBD. Representing the EFL will be the Kim Leonard Mosebys versus the new and moldy USFL's Michael " I never told a truth" Dwyers. They can't tell you where the game will be played, not even what state. The sponsors are mysteries, though Micheal has a big announcement just around the corner. The finances are going through Moseby's personal checking account, which showed $14 when law enforcement last checked. A game between two "Legends in their own minds!" Just send your money in, they take pay pal, to the $1.98 web site they bought from go daddy.
