We've also got a pay scale from a position coach in NC "We are a paying league: $500/week for practice squad $1000/week for starters $1500/week if you got what it takes to be EXCLUSIVE!" ccflusa.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=930&page=1#5047 [/quote] That is a load. The EFL is Paying $350 per game, not the exaggerated figures that is reported. Also, check out the pic of the League's CEO. Nice mug shot. If you want to know how straight this guy is google him: Kim Leonard Mosby. Attachments:

efl Arizona GM Ray King was terminated for asking too many questions of Kim Mosby. One of many that have bit the dust as soon as they ask questions such as finances, logistics, and other annoying questions that Mosby has no answers for. There is no team in Ohio as of yet, Mosby is trying to recruit a semi pro team to be team Ohio. Looks like Team California GM Ed Silva has had enough also, word has it he is stepping away to concentrate on his other teams. Of a 13 team league, only three or four are somewhat up and running, nine or ten are nowhere, with three months to kickoff of the season. Zero assistance from the league to get any of these teams up and running. The GM's are to put everything together for the league. No marketing, financial, or publicity help from the efl. New Arizona GM is Wendell Bryant, who starts with zero and has three months to put it all together. Team California lists a head coach who claims to have been drafted in 1979 by the Washington Redskins, only problem is there is no record of him ever being with the Redskins.

the efl claims they will have 13 teams with 60 man rosters that they will pay $350 per player per game, that equals $273,000 in payroll for the 13 teams to play one game. In an 8 game season that means the league must come up with $2,184,000 in player payroll for the 2012 regular season. That is more than they started off with in their supposed war chest ($2,100,000). That does not include coaches salaries, staff expenses, stadium rentals, travel expenses, refs, and all the other expenses necessary to put on a football game. Conservitavely the efl will need around $5,000,000 to accomplish what they are stating they will do in 2012. That means each team will have to generate (for the league) $400,000, with only 4 home games, just for the league to break even. That means each team is going to have to generate about half a million dollars in order to ship four hundred thousand to kim mosby. How many of you out there can generate $125,000 per home game? If that was easy to do everyone would own a football team.

Like the SFL, is the EFL going to do anything to get people in the stands? The UFL is an example of how hard it is to get people to come, even with good talent. I'd wager most of the cities these teams play in don't even know they have an EFL team yet!

Most of the teams in the efl are planning on playing in stadiums of less then 5,000. Maryland's proposed stadium is 3,500.
There has been zero press in any of the 13 efl franchise cities, so how do you draw any fans if they don't even know you exist?

Sounds like what the AAFL tried to do. A league for post college athletes who still want to play with team themes according to the state they're located in.

It is official, Ed Silva is out as GM of the Team California franchise of the efl. Not only that, but the team has been moved to Southern California. So all those players who tried out in the Sacramento area and paid their $65 can now either relocate or are just out their money. Silva had built a pretty good organization for the efl but that is all gone now and Team California is starting over from scratch with 85 days to the opening of the season. Word has it that Silva was asking questions about efl operations and finances with no answers from Kim Mosby so he packed up his organization and quit the efl. Team Arizona has gone through the same thing, so the new GM Wendell has nothing in place. There is no Team Ohio. Kim was trying, unsuccessfully, to recruit a semi pro team but was turned down.

That's pretty crappy doing that to all the NorCal guys who tried out and paid their fees. Of course most, if not all, won't go South to relocate for so few dollars. Since I'm not following the EFL very closely is there a running tally of who exactly might be ready to field teams in 3 months? I've lost count of which locations have even a semblence of an organization in place. Are they all just teams on paper still? Or have some progressed to where some are ready to draft players?

Team North Carolina and Georgia seem to be getting things together. Team Texas possibly is, though it is almost impossible to get any info on what is going on with that team. Louisiana has a good man at the helm, though late to the game. Arizona, California, Ohio, Maryland, New Mexico and South Caolina aren't anywhere at this point. Florida and Pennsylvania are trying to get things going but have ran into major road blocks from the league not following through with anything promised. Arkansas is a fantom franchise at this point.

It appears that Kim Mosby's efl has no money at the league level. Everything is about sucking every penny out of each team that he can. No team has seen a nickle from the league to assist in start up. So much for the $2.1 million war chest he professed. When law enforcement last checked his bank account he had $14 in it. That won't even let him buy a vibrating football field and have the efl play on it. 85 days until we get the Kim Mosby efl versus Michael Dwyer nusfl game. Looking like Mosby is another Dwyer, just what the football world needs, another self gratifying loser.

Actually, if all this is true he's worse than Dwyer. For all his talk, Dwyer never took money from players, hired and fired employees, nor held practices.

14 dollars in his bank account? Hmm...wonder if Moseby's dog cacthing a frisbee will be the halftime show for the Sinkhole Bowl. Then again I doubt the dog would work for that price. BTW thanks for the recap Phillip. Let's hope Huthwaite has more in his bank account than 14 dollars......
